I just had this like, image and damn kinda wanna write it where, Loki and Tony are both super crazy in love with each other but pretending they aren't 'cause are sure the other doesn't like them.

Then, idk, maybe there is some big asgardian event where it's all about finding a courtship partner.

And Tony is a hot item and Loki can't bear standing around another room fearful of Tony finding someone. (Tony can't stand going to another event and being terrified someone will finally wake up to how awesome Loki is and snatch him up.)

They're both just TERRIFIED but hiding it under "ugh, this event sucks, I'm so not into anyone right now, ugggh" and then Tony, in a fit of stupidity suggests, "why don't we just go there as a courtship, save oursevles the hassle?"

He does not expect Loki to say yes.

AND THEN WE HAVE MUTUAL PINING ASGARDIAN FAKE DATE. Where they both are secretly adoring each touch and courting gesture and dreading the end of the week long event where they have to stop pretending and go back to never having the one they want.
