Maybe have this happen when they were little and were still learning English & Lolo was upset over something during/shortly after their English lesson & they were still in English mindset. Years after when they were adults they forgot about this & drifted apart, but when Loki was once super upset and just wanted his big bro to be there, he sought him out and said "my face wants to malfunction" or something like that & Thor just hugged him, no questions asked, even if they haven't spoken on friendly terms in years
(maybe Loki got upset over some misunderstanding with Tony? Like he thought that Tony only sees him as a friend or is in love with Pepper)

@AlwaysWithEntropy Late answer, (question: How do Loki/Tony/Pepper get together?) but there are lots of great ways for them to get together. I'm personally a fan of "Loki who's hiding on Earth for [some reason] is very bored and starts crashing fancy high society parties. Where he observed Pepper and Tony being Bad at relationships. And thinks, wouldn't this be better with a just a dash of...me?"

Cue comedy of errors as Loki tries to manipulate Tony and Pepper only to learn that they are too chaotic to be manipulated.

But by then the other two are used to him being around and they've had several conversations about how cute Loki is. Not in the usual way, but in this very hard to describe Loki way. Where he thinks he's so bad and broody and stoic but he's clearly a lonely, touch starved kid underneath.

And Tony, never one to shy away from asking is like "I want one." and for once Pepper's like, "Yeah, okay. So long as you share." and Tony's like "OKAY."

So then they plan this whole scheme to like, date him. But he
doesn't realize it's a date because they've gone out lots and lots already and it never quite worked out how he planned it.
So they go through this whole marathon, all-day date full of fun times and mischief and at the end they both kiss him and he's like "Oh. Well, I feel foolish."
And they all go home the end.

Everybody starts Loki fics after A1 or during Thor 2, but I think it would be really interesting to see how it plays out when Loki's still a bitter boy and under Thanos'

Okay I'm now kinda lost on what happens after the invasion...

And made the bargain with the star in order to have the power to protect his kids
Except the star freezes his heart and makes him forget about them little by little
(Odin low key blames loki for the war too, at least bc he did nothing to stop it after androgba s death. Also he was supposed to be pushing aesir agenda and refused to do so
Maybe odin was the one to order the assassination to push loki to exert his influence (and maybe also bc he thought that she had been the one to distract him from his mission?)

Wait if Obie is the witch of the waste what would his magical hench-men be trying to accomplish?
No more like Obie tries to bring him back Loki to face Odin's justice to get in Odin's good graces and just keeps failing . After the palace summons for all the mages Tony goes in Loki's steed and meets Obie once again and that is where Obie's powers get taken. However this time I do not think Tony brings him along for the escape... (at least I wouldn't)

Prompt: After drinking Tony and Loki make a questionable decision to drink a strange liquid

hmmm what do you guys think of Loki and Tony getting drunk after Tony challenges Loki to a drinking contest one day of course to make it fair Tony gets regular beer while Loki gets Asgardian ale and they end up playing a game of truth or dare while intoxicated. One of the dares ends up with Tony looking for something in his lab to prove Loki wrong and they come across a vial of some strange liquid. So out of nowhere Tony dares Loki to drink it. Of course he is like no way because that sounds like a really bad idea. So Tony offers to drink it with him, Loki then agrees because they have terrible rationale with inebriated. So cue some magic potion and they switch bodies. Of course Loki isn't use to being not a god and crumbles under all the health problems Tony has and Tony is having a great time messing around with magic. Loki wants his body back but Tony is having to much fun so Loki goes around trying to sabotage Tony's life and in retaliation Tony does the same thing.

Actually being gender fluid is something that is very shaman appropriate since it’s a transgression of social norms so loki new since very little that he would be the next shaman
So was raised in the fringes of society and talking to no one, he stopped being the son of Odin chief, and became the son of Laufey shaman
(This is probably a bunch of very not realistic references but bear with me)
As shaman he’s supposed to be the link between the human world and that of the forces of Chaos
But he’s always been very sensitive to the other side, easily getting caught there, there’s a spirit that echoes much with his soul -too much
The first time he gets stuck there, tony calls him back
They’ve been meeting in secret since they were kids, Tony Was the only one to have seen (and keep seeing) Loki’s True face;
The only one not to be scared of him, to be wary of the shaman in training, the almost stranger leaving on the fringes of society
The only one loki trusted with his True Name
Tony brings loki back from the beyond, and Laufey accepts him as Loki’s companion
“Loki is too much spirit, not enough human to be a good bridge. One day, he’d get stuck on the other side and never come back, because he’s home there.”
“You’re too much human to be a shaman, but you’re enough to be Loki’s bridge “
Tony becomes Loki’s spouse, his anchor to the human world , the one thing he cares for, lives for on this side
At first Loki’s aghast with laufeys decision, and Tony’s agreement
Tony has a situation, a good reputation, he’s a renowned blacksmith, known far and wide
Why would he throw all that away?
Well, first, tony will say he’s certainly not throwing everything away, he’s still a blacksmith
But he doesn’t care about his reputation, if people decide to shun him for his relationship with loki, let them! They’re morons anyway
People call loki a monster, they never saw his true face, only a hulking mass of fur and bones and carved woods of many faces, small charms of mysterious properties
They all look at tony like he’s a man condemned, like a virgin sacrificed to the monster
But loki in truth is impossibly beautiful
And beyond that, kind and clever and funny
And tony has been in love with him since he knew what love was

Oceans Eleven AU

Oh you mentioned Ocean's Eleven.
Here have that random concept I have and told @Rabentochter (Sesil) and @namelesslynightlock (Lou) about a few days ago:

You know how Don Cheadle was the explosives expert in Ocean's Eleven? I kind of want a "Rhodey didn't make it into the military so he became a criminal" AU but he's still totally friends with Tony and Tony listens with glee to tales of his heists. (And Tony also totally gives him tips on explosives and things)

And then idk really, Loki is a criminal Rhodey meets and goes "oh fuck he'd be perfect for Tony" or hell, even just a gen story of Tony and Rhodey when Rhodey is "Basher" and faking a British accent.

I have no idea what the rest of the plot is, mind you. I just want Basher as Rhodey and Tony as the cackling friend in the background.
No idea how Loki fits in. But he'd be a damn good con-man.
Possibly Tony is the one they come to for "lots of money and nothing to lose" who finances Rhodey's jobs for the giggles?
And maybe Loki is a god on earth just having fun. And he does some jobs with "Basher" and rather likes him.
They become friends and then, they're doing a con on who knows who, and they need someone to bank roll them and that's when Rhodey says he might have someone and then shows up at Tony's house.
And Loki knows of Tony and is super intrigued and flirty.
Or alternatively, Loki isn't a god, just a con man who's friends with Rhodey and goes sksjfkjsdbsdgbe when he meets handsome/sexual fantasy/flirty Tony.

Tony finances Rhodey because damn that's way to amusing. Also he's the tech support & always disables alarms and such for Rhodey. Loki is a god who was hella bored on Asgard so he came to visit... And ended up landing in the middle of Rhodey's con & was in equal measure amused and impressed with entire thing so he approaches Rhodey and says "I'm bored, you're amusing so imma gonna help you" - at first Rhodey wants to get rid of him & even asks Tony to tip the police in hopes of them catching Loki, but Loke just laughs it off as he excapes. Somewhere down the line Tony gets a bit of a crush on the dude (they never met) and Rhodey is tasked with getting them together but Loki slips through every plan. Mostly because of the trauma called "Thor having genius plan on setting Lolo with one of his friends"

Tony and Loki New Each Other Before Thor 1

Prompt: Loki & Tony know each other before Thor 1 - maybe even before Tony became Iron Man. They're friends and slowly their relationship becomes something more than simple friendship. They both know it, but don't say anything, simply enjoying going slow with casual displays of affection like cuddles and kisses (all very chastite, cute and adorable). Everyone knows they're together even if they never specifically say it so. They just are.
Loki pretty much lives on Midgar & Asgardians simply assume that he got lost in the library - it actually happened enough to make it a thing. He still goes back often enough that his absence isn't called in question & doesn't miss the meetings and other responsibilities he has as a prince. That's why he returns to Asgard for Thor's coronation. He honestly doesn't give two shits about it anymore, he just wants to permanently move to Midgar (he recently became a lawyer and wants to work on his career of getting his man's ass out of trouble).
Well somehow he gets possessed while he's there and disappears before coronation. Odin tells Thor that the coronation will be put on hold until he finds Lolo. Thor talks with Heimdall and learns Loki is trying to take over Midgar.
Tony and Thor find Loke at pretty much the same time & Thor is going all self-righteous about how Loki's stunts are preventing him from becoming king while Tony simply says "Blondie, I have no idea who you think this is, but I tell you that this isn't my Loki"
Thor is all confused and shit so Tony simply stunns Loki into unconsciousness and says "My Loki has green eyes," making Thor realize that he ducked up

I sometimes think that perhaps Loki was a little sickly as a child because his Jotun immune system had difficulties adapting itself to the Asgardian environment. So whenever there's a transmissible disease around, Thor kind of waves it through while Loki gets the whole deal and takes longer to heal than anybody else (Loki never catches cold though, a fun fact nobody really understands). Maybe this makes Loki growing more slowly and keeps him from bulking out? However, while being as brave and skilled at fighting as any Aesir, Loki tends to be a little more health concious than his peers. Imagine an AU where Tony and Loki start bonding over their health issues, sharing news about he latest superfood craze, sampling smoothie recepies they've found on health sites or comparing each other's blood pressure readings. Thor thinks it's hilarious and never stops laughing at them. Naturally, this annoys Loki to no end and Tony finds it extremely irritating too. He decides to get away from it all and invites Loki for a holiday at a world-famous (and very romantic) spa resort.

Soulmmate AU: Soulmark is the First Thing Your Made Said That Morning

Idea combined from Jax' Soulmate mark = first thing your mate said that morning + one soulmate fic where Tony was mute
So idea is that soulmate mark is first/last/most important thing your soulmate said/will say that day. Tony & Loki occasionally manege to send each other messages (eg one is upset & the other one says it's gonna be ok because he'll always be there & it shows as the mark) but all of the sudden Loki's mark disappears. He thinks it's because his soulmate died and gets all angsty & gets into a fight with Thor.
Odin decides to send them both to Midgar (on opposite sides of the world of course) - Thor so he can learn how not to be a jaxkass & Lolo because change of scenery might help him a bit, even if it's just a distraction.
Bonus points if Thor is sent to Earth first so Odin and Friga can talk with their baby boy, trying to make him feel better. (I like decent father Odin stories)
So Thor lands in America while Loki gets sent to Asia. He wanders around for a few days before finding that place where Stephen Strange learned magic. There he finds Tony & Stephen - Tony's vocal cords got damaged & he made a brain to speech device so it still looks like he can talk, but it keeps voicing stiff he doesn't want to say so he's trying to get his voice back.
Loki quickly becomes the only person besides Pepper & Stephen who knows of Tony's condition because his device keeps spamming thoughts like "damn he's hot" and "fuck so pretty" whenever he's around Loki.
They're both idiots and don't realise they're soulmates, but still fall in love.
You can do whatever from here on tho my brain likes a scene where Tony gets his voice back and says something very specific that gets stuck in Loki's brain - when he gets to bed that night/gets up in the morning he notices that his soulmate mark is what Tony said when he got his voice back

Toy Story AU: Loki Magicks the Toys Alive

so what if Tony (and maybe the rest of the avengers) were just toys Loki and Thor played with when they were younger. Super heroes fighting the bad guys and that kinda stuff. Thor always playing with Captain Star and saving the day!
and one day Loki experiments around with magic like usual, but a spell backfires and suddenly the toys are actually alive! And they remember all the time they spent with Thor and Loki.
Of course Loki tells Frigga, who takes one look at the toys and says "we can't reverse this, Loki. You made them into real actual living beings"
and loki is shocked, because what's he gonna do with them? He'd just be a bad keeper (and thor even worse, he thinks)
Loki asks frigga for help to make the toys have actual bodies, not these toy bodies, so they can live life like they deserve now that they are actual people with emotions and all that. Of course, Frigga agrees to help, but it will take time.
Cue an arc of Loki trying to prevent anyone from finding out what he accidentally did, but thor does so quickly because he wants his captain star and oh! Suddenly Captain Star can actually speak and they become good buddies quickly.
Also toy tony refuses to leave loki's side, even after frigga and loki completed the spell and they have actual normal bodies, making their life in asgard.
Tony is totally pining, but Loki first needs to be convinced out of the mind set that tony is just the toy he loved to play with in the past.
(i may or may not have gotten this idea by seeing something from toy story)

Kidnapped Tony Is Convinced Loki Won't Save Him

So besides the usual kidnapper fare of like kicking the crap out of Tony, this little fuckhead gets it into tony's head that loki won't come for him because loki actually hates him, he's not worth loki's time and loki is probably pretty glad that tony is gone
Etc etc
So when Loki manages to save Tony and bring him home, he has no idea why Tony freaks out every time he touches him
and every time Loki tries to fuss over him or call him pet names or do really anything of the loving variety, tony just freaks out and pushes Loki away
And eventually loki tries to get Tony to talk and Tony just completely flips out, calling Loki a liar, just leave him alone, and he locks himself in his room
Stays there for days, doesn't even go to his lab, he just lies in bed super depressed and every now and again has crying spells or wakes up screaming from nightmares and Loki can hear all of it but JARVIS won't let him into Tony's room and he doesn't want to upset Tony any further by teleporting
But then it's like three days later and Tony hasn't eaten or had anything to drink and Pepper is about to lose her shit so JARVIS unlocks Tony's door and tells Loki to get in there before Tony literally dies of dehydration
and Tony takes one look at Loki and just starts sobbing hysterically because he still is completely in love with Loki and has missed him but he doesn't understand why Loki is there; Loki hates him and Loki just quietly sits down on the bed next to Tony and stays there while Tony breaks down
Eventually Tony stops crying and Loki conjures a cup of water and basically forces it down Tony's throat
and the first thing Tony asks when he's finished with the cup is "why are you here?"

Then she started making out with me. And. I still. Was not entirely 100% sure so. I stopped making out with this girl so we could have like a 5 minute “what are we” discussion. After she had already asked me out twice.

The real kicker? We had this discussion while she was not wearing a shirt. And I still felt like we had to have that conversation.

So yeah. If that can happen, I’m quite sure that someone could be on her 5th date with a girl and not know it. Like anythings possible for us lesbians at this point

When Pepper breaks their engagement, Tony goes on a binge. He wakes up in his bedroom and has no idea how he got there. However, there's a a carafe of water with fresh lemon slices and a drinking glass on his bedside table, and a small basin with a facecloth on its rim is sitting next to it. Tony is impressed: he usually doesn’t have that amount of self-care or foresight when he is drunk. Then he notices he'd slept in a recovery position designed to make sure he could maintain an open airway and would not suffocate on his own vomit. His right foot was neatly tucked behind his left calf and his head was placed in an angle that made his mouth point downwards so.... That can't be right bc there's no way he got into that position by himself. And of course Loki's there, book in his hand and a toothy grin on his face. Tony tells Loki to leave his bedroom at once and asks why on earth the god thought he was welcome in the first place. 'Why, my dear,' Loki answers. 'You invited me.' Tony blinks, wondering what happened last night. Then Loki raises his hand, showing off Pepper's engagement ring.
